This is a little of topic, but I just love sunsets and sunrises. I’m a photography buff and love shooting landscape photography. There are some amazing scenic places to photograph, but none to me are more stunning than sunsets. Each one can be so different.
Take advice from the great Phil Dunphy’s (Modern Family) book of Phil’s-osophy: “Watch a sunrise at least once a day.” All kidding aside, we get so caught up in our day to day activities that we often overlook the beauty and gifts of each day.
“Today, just take time to smell the roses, enjoy those little things about your life, your family, spouse, friends, job. Forget about the thorns -the pains and problems they cause you – and enjoy life” ~ Bernard Kelvin Clive
Technology has changed how we live, in both good ways and bad. I saw a stat stating people check their phones up to 153 times per day! For many, the first and last thing they do each day is look at their phone. We can’t even go on vacations without taking calls and checking emails. We are too-connected!
Since we’ve moved here, I try to take time every day to unplug and just enjoy the little things in life. We didn’t have TV the first two months we were here. I got the NFL package with our subscription. It’s week 14 of the season and I have only watched 1 complete game. And I’m a football fan, it just hasn’t been a big priority since we moved here. We bought a grill/fire-pit that we have been wearing out. There’s a bunch of mesquite on the property and it’s great to cook with!
Our goal at the winery is to have a place that you can ‘relax and unWINEd.’ Here’s to many more sunsets and sunrises!
